This position is responsible for monitoring the quality and quantity of food prepared and served, ensuring proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing. The Cook I will also inform service staff of unavailable items and specials, prepare food from storage, operate various kitchen appliances, and prepare sauces, stocks, soups, and cold food. This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and monitor appliance and food temperatures. Additionally, the Cook I will monitor kitchen supply stock and adhere to all company policies regarding safety, security, and professional conduct. The role involves developing positive working relationships, communicating clearly, and meeting quality expectations. Physical requirements include reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance. The Cook I will also perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
