About The Position

The Village of Wentworth Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Cook I to join their team. This is a permanent part-time position located at 1620 Upper Wentworth St, Hamilton, ON L9B 2W3. The working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with alternate weekends, totaling 30 hours bi-weekly. The hiring rate for this role is $24.87 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Requirements

• Graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college
• Food safety certification
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
• Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members
• Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role

Nice To Haves

• Acquired a Red Seal designation
• Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
