About The Position

This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts, offering a pay rate of $17-$19 per hour. The role involves coordinating menus, maintaining kitchen inventory, and ensuring food is handled properly in compliance with health and safety standards. The Cook/Housekeeper will prepare food for individuals receiving services, ensure cooking equipment is in good order, and assist with cleaning and housekeeping throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six months related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reviews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared.
  • Prepares, seasons and cooks food.
  • Carves portions of meat, fish or fowl for individual servings.
  • Inspects food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities.
  • Oversees and coordinates activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods.
  • Plans and reviews menus.
  • Determines food quantities, labor and overhead costs.
  • May participate in food preparation.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.
  • Assists with cleaning/housekeeping throughout the facility.
