About The Position

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Cook Helpers for immediate opportunities within secure juvenile facilities throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan. We are hiring for flexible Per Diem assignments within a 24/7 facility environment, with schedules varying based on operational needs. This role is ideal for candidates with kitchen, food prep, hospitality, customer service, childcare, warehouse, or institutional support experience who are looking for flexible work opportunities in NYC facilities.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, food prep, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40–50 lbs
• Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable
• Must be able to pass required background clearances

Nice To Haves

• Institutional, facility, or commercial kitchen experience is a plus
• Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Assist Cooks with food preparation and meal service
• Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
• Safely operate kitchen tools and kitchen equipment
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies
• Work professionally alongside facility staff and security personnel
