About The Position

High Point Residence Chester is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Cook/Dishwasher to join our dietary team. In this role, you will assist with preparing and serving nutritious, enjoyable meals for our residents while also helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in their work, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. There is also opportunity for growth within the dietary team for someone who is eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and able to work independently when needed
• Weekend availability required

Nice To Haves

• Previous cooking, dietary, restaurant, or food service experience
• Experience working in senior living, healthcare, or a similar environment
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and modified diets
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with cooking meals according to resident dietary needs and preferences
• Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining work area
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with kitchen setup and cleanup before and after meals
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure smooth meal service
• Assist with special events and resident dining activities as needed
