About The Position

Granite Hill Estates is seeking a Chef / Cook for 32-40 hours per week, requiring weekend availability. This role is for individuals who love cooking and uphold high culinary standards, aiming to create delicious dishes that bring joy to residents in a Senior Living environment. The position primarily involves a breakfast/lunch shift, focusing on preparing food according to established standards and collaborating with the Culinary Director on menu development. The culinary team is dedicated to creating memories and building connections through food.

Requirements

  • Have experience as a cook or chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Know how to plan menus, prepare food, and use different cooking methods.
  • Organize time well and pay attention to details.
  • Commit to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Know food safety rules and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Cook food precisely following established standards and guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Culinary Director to make menus that residents love.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following health and safety rules.
  • Come up with new dishes that residents will enjoy.
