About this Location: This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. We are right in the middle of the action! Our hotel is perfectly situated next to the Las Vegas Convention Center and just three miles from Harry Reid International Airport. With the monorail just steps away and world-class entertainment, dining, and shopping minutes from our door, you’ll be working in the heart of all that Las Vegas has to offer. Why do we need you? To prepare food and serve breakfast to patrons at the counter or at tables.

Requirements

Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
Ability to multi-task and exceed expectations of guests.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Use hands, arms, and fingers.
Work to precise measurements.
Visualize how finished product will look.
Use arithmetic to measure, compute number of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it conforms to requirements.
Prior cook experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Breakfast line or buffet cook experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Takes orders from customers and cooks food requiring short preparation time, according to customer requirements.
Completes order from steam table and serves customer at table or counter.
May clean food preparation equipment and work area to maintain a high sanitation standard.
May clean counter or tables.
Ensure that all food items are properly handled and stored at the conclusion of the shift.
Properly rotates inventory.
Work with manager to create specials and other menu variations.
Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
