About The Position

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for a part-time employee to work in the Nutrition Services Department as a Cook/ Assistant Cook. This role involves preparing high-quality foods for patients, residents, tenants, employees, and visitors, following standardized recipes and adhering to proper safety and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum age 18 required
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to receive written and verbal instructions in English.
• Excellent organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• 2 years cooking experience preferred
• Experience cooking for healthcare facility a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepares high quality foods for patients, residents, tenants, employees and visitors following standardized recipes and using proper safety and sanitation requirements.

Benefits

• Weekend Shift Differential: $4.00 more per hour
• Worked Holiday Pay: Double time for working on holidays.
• Short Notice Bonus: If called in short notice (less than 24 hours) - 40% more pay for hours not scheduled.
