About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for a Cook 3. This role requires basic knowledge of culinary operations, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. The Cook 3 will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring consistent plate presentation according to the Chef's standards. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations
• A team player, hard worker, and detail oriented
• Knowledgeable in classic and modern cooking methods and techniques
• Must be able to maintain consistent and correct plate presentation
• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
• Passionate about food and previous similar work experience
• Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
• Standing for long periods of time
• Bending, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree and work experience or the equivalent work experience in a full service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down a culinary station efficiently
• Prep all ingredients and station to Chef's standards
• Ensure station is clean and sanitized
• Maintain consistent and correct plate presentation
• Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures & standards
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for the team, and to be ready for service
• Assists with quality and presentation, maintaining cleanliness standards and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant when necessary
• Maintain a "clean as you go" work ethic
• A positive, service-oriented attitude and desire to contribute to a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate guest needs
