About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for a Cook 3. This role requires basic knowledge of culinary operations, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Cook 3 will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items, maintaining station cleanliness, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation according to the chef's standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a luxury hospitality environment with a focus on exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience or the equivalent work experience in a full service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained.
  • Passion for food
  • Previous similar work experience
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Bending, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America

Responsibilities

  • Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations
  • Knowledgeable in classic and modern cooking methods and techniques
  • Set up and break down a culinary station efficiently
  • Prep all ingredients and station to Chef's standards
  • Ensure station is clean and sanitized
  • Must be able to maintain consistent and correct plate presentation
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures & standards
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for the team, and to be ready for service
  • Assists with quality and presentation, maintaining cleanliness standards and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant when necessary
  • Maintain a "clean as you go" work ethic
  • A positive, service-oriented attitude and desire to contribute to a team
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate guest needs
