About The Position

The Cook 2 position is a part-time role responsible for preparing meals for various sections of the kitchen, including the restaurant, outlets, banquets, and staff cafeteria. The cook will assist in all kitchen activities to ensure high-quality food items are served to guests in a timely manner. This role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, reporting any equipment issues, managing supplies, and performing receiving and inventory duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of 1 year of experience in food preparation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Friendly and hospitality focused
  • Attention to detail
  • Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals for respective section(s) (restaurant, outlets, banquets, staff cafeteria etc.) and assist in all kitchen activities to ensure that guests receive high quality food items in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen by cleaning all work surfaces used in food preparation on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters. Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
  • May maintain supplies and equipment (trays, china, silver and condiments) for service at the station areas.
  • Advise supervisor of low inventory items and problems related to equipment, food quality, portions, etc.
  • Perform receiving and inventory duties as specified by supervisor; stock supplies as requested.
