About The Position
Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. The major responsibility of the position is to perform tasks as a cook in food preparation and cleaning food preparation area.
Requirements
- Prior experience and knowledge in coordinating food distribution
- Completion of a recognized course in Commercial Cooking
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a large-scale commercial cooking operation (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Safe Food Handling certification
- Ability to apply food preparation knowledge with attention to food safety requirements, safe work practices, and Health Regulations
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing staff
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet established deadlines under pressure
