About The Position

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Chief Operations Officer to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our four outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active-duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression. Position Summary: Assists the CEO in the development and implementation of the mission, goals and objectives of the facility as established by the governing body. Assumes responsibility for managing the daily operations of the facility, ensures compliance with hospital, JCAHO, federal, state, local and other regulatory agency standards and serves as Acting Administrator in the absence of the CEO.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work or related behavioral health field required. LSCW preferred.
Five (5) years' experience in a senior management position of an administrative/leadership level in the mental health care field.
Must possess knowledge of organizational theory, decision-making processes, human resource and financial management, and marketing.
Must understand and act upon complex issues and problems, must communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced work environment, has strong team building skills, and understands fiscal and operational responsibilities.
Employment with Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital requires successful completion of a Level II background Screening.

Responsibilities

Participates in the development of short term and long-range goals and objectives in accordance with the hospital's missions to ensure long-term survivability.
Assists CEO in establishing the organizational structure meeting the operational needs of the clinical and administrative functions of the facility.
Assumes responsibility for managing the daily operations of the hospital.
Reviews fiscal performance of the hospital and performs administrative functions ensuring compliance with requirements of regulating agencies while maintaining hospital standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
