About The Position

The Conveyor System Technician is a service provider position, working in the belt shop and in the field at customer locations with responsibilities to install, service, and repair conveyor products. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of common hand tools and power tools which is standard for many craft labor technicians.

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of common hand tools and power tools.
• Possess a proper and legal driving license record sufficient to be insurable by the company insurance carrier.
• Capable of driving service trucks up to GVW.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure.
• Ability to read and understand measuring devices.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC card and all other safety certifications or clearances as required by Turner Supply customers.
• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Must be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays and be responsive to after hour, weekend, and holiday emergency calls.
• Must be able to work independently or with little supervision in the shop or on job sites.

• Must be available for work 24/7 – on-call as needed
• Basic math proficiency
• Must be able to work proficiently under minimal supervision
• Must be able to use tape measure, Hand/ power tools
• Must be able to follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE for task performed
• High School Diploma or Certified Equivalent Certificate from a Technical or Vocational Program

Nice To Haves

• Overnight trips to various customers may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair conveyor products.
• Maintain a record of proper attendance, performance, and the timely completion of all required duties.
• Follow all procedures as instructed for scope of work, and safety procedures.
