About The Position

Pratt (Beloit Corrugating), LLC is seeking a Converting Supervisor for the 2nd Shift. This role is responsible for directly supervising up to twenty-five (25) employees in the daily routine of producing quality corrugated products in a safe, productive manner with minimum waste. A significant portion of the day is spent on the production floor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Prior manufacturing experience
Minimum one-year prior supervisory experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Able to read, interpret and write business correspondence, manuals and reports.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
Able to demonstrate high emotional control under adverse conditions.

College and/or related technical experience
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry

Responsibilities

Direct daily schedules, workflows, and assignments to meet company targets.
Supervise, train, and coach department personnel; appraise performance and resolve issues; reward and discipline employees; handle conflict resolution; and build teams.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of employee work hours, absences, and vacation time.
Maintain quality, efficiency, and production levels set by management and communicate these standards to employees.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, and applicable laws.
Maintain appropriate and accurate inventories of sheets, inks, and other converting supplies.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and report quality concerns.
Analyze existing procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with production, maintenance, employees, and between shifts.
Conduct weekly production/safety meetings with department personnel.
