About The Position

The Converting Operator C produces quality edges and/or cuts on trim boards and maintains converting equipment. The role primarily involves training on, operating, and maintaining converting machinery to maximize customer satisfaction with the product. The position reports directly to the Supervisor of the Converting Department.

The work takes place in a manufacturing environment indoors, protected from weather but not necessarily from temperature conditions. The position is subject to noise that may require shouting to be heard and to vibration involving fluctuating body movements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 months of Converting Operations experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Ability to effectively manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Produce a good edge seal and/or saw cut for each trim board.
• Train on, operate, and maintain converting machinery and equipment.
• Promote safe equipment use and follow plant safety rules.
• Interact with maintenance, as instructed, to minimize repair time for converting equipment.
• Keep the work area clean at all times.
• Complete all required reports.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and be willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Manage job-related stress and interact productively with others in the workplace.
