About The Position

International Paper is seeking a Converting Entry Manufacturing Laborer for their Grand Prairie Box facility. This is a full-time hourly position with a pay rate of $24.29/hr. plus shift differential. The role involves following safety procedures, counting and stacking finished product, reading factory orders, using gauges and test equipment, performing basic shop math, reading a tape measure, inspecting product, completing quality checks, and maintaining housekeeping. Responsibilities also include weekly clean-up functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping, and handling scrap. The position also requires assisting with securing tooling and materials for production orders and performing other required duties.

Requirements

Good attendance and punctuality
Must be 18 years of age or older
Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen
Verifiable, stable work history
Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions

Nice To Haves

2 years manufacturing experience preferred
Flexible to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Following all trained and published safety policies and procedures
Counting and stacking finished product
Reading factory orders
Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment
Utilizing basic shop math and have the ability to read a tape measure
Inspecting product
Accurately completing quality checks to ensure specific directions are followed
Practicing and maintaining great housekeeping
Assisting with weekly clean-up functions including blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap
Assisting with securing all required tooling and materials to manufacture production orders
Other duties as required
