About The Position

Mach 1 is hiring a Convenience Store General Manager for its Lake Sara location in Effingham, Illinois. The General Manager is responsible for managing the entire location, providing exemplary customer service, building team member relations, and ensuring the location’s highest profitability. The position supervises 10–12 sales associates and oversees the store’s day-to-day operations. The role includes interviewing, hiring, and training sales associates; maintaining a safe environment and the company’s store-appearance standards; and complying with applicable federal and state laws. The General Manager also handles daily paperwork, bank deposits, inventory counts, cash audits, invoice processing, order placement, scheduling, labor-hour control, and monitoring local competitors’ pricing. A background screen is required.
