About The Position

The Controls Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting BAS systems, programming, installation, testing, and commissioning of building automation systems. This role involves working closely with installations, equipment, and programs, as well as communicating with clients and contractors. The company has been in business for over 30 years and serves various sectors including Commercial, Higher Education, K-12, Municipals, Automotive, and Hospitals, offering services in Building Automation, Energy Analytics, HVAC, and Smart/Intelligent Buildings.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Controls Technician or similar position
Well versed in troubleshooting controls BAS systems
Knowledge of controls programming and experience rewriting sequences
Fundamental understanding of installing and testing building automation systems
Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point to point check outs
Ability to work in a team environment

Troubleshoot controls BAS systems

Work closely with controls installations and start-up/termination of equipment and programs
Troubleshoot and manipulate current installed BAS programs
Communicate efficiently with building owners, end users, and general contractors
