About The Position
This is a Controls Technician position with an impressive controls-only company located in Columbus, OH. The role involves working on a mix of service, retrofit, and new construction projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. The company has been established for over 30 years and offers services including system design & integration, installation, programming, networking, start-up/commissioning, customized projects, preventative maintenance, remote monitoring, and customized maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Controls Technician or similar position
- Tridium N4 certified or experienced
- Knowledge of communication protocol integration: BACnet, LonMark, Modbus, etc.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot controls BAS systems
- Familiarity working with Control databases
- Fundamental understanding of installation and testing of BAS systems

- Ability to perform Project Manager responsibilities, minus financials
Responsibilities
- Perform Project Manager responsibilities, minus financials
- Perform point-to-point check-out and commissioning protocols
- Troubleshoot controls BAS systems
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with end users, general contractors, as well as building owners
- Work with Control databases
- Install and test BAS systems
- Program, troubleshoot, and rewrite sequences
