About The Position
Smart Building Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to service existing EMS/BAS systems and support service installation projects. The role includes maintaining system performance, completing upgrades and replacements, making programming adjustments, and carrying out preventive maintenance. The technician will work with the service team to troubleshoot and verify issues, while developing the programming skills needed to handle service challenges independently, including when remote support is unavailable.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in an industry-related field, including HVAC systems and DDC systems.
- Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.

Responsibilities
- Provide service for existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete service installation projects, including sensor and relay upgrades, programming adjustments, and controller replacements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance visits.
- Partner with the service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues.
- Develop programming skills to handle service challenges independently, including when remote support is unavailable.
