About The Position

Smart Building Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to service and maintain existing energy management and building automation systems and support controls-related installation projects. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and verify service issues with the service team, and build programming skills to work independently, including when remote support is unavailable. The role supports the company’s building automation, energy management, facility monitoring, critical systems monitoring, and smart lighting solutions.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in an industry-related field, including HVAC systems and DDC systems.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.

Nice To Haves

• Tridium Certification.
• Distech experience.

Responsibilities

• Service existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform service installation work, including sensor and relay upgrades, programming changes, and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits.
• Partner with the service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues.
• Develop programming skills to handle service challenges independently, including when remote support is unavailable.
