About The Position

The Controls Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and working closely with building automation systems (BAS). This role involves installing, testing, and commissioning BAS, as well as rewriting sequences and manipulating current installed BAS programs. The technician will also communicate effectively with building owners, end users, and general contractors, and work collaboratively in a team environment. The company, founded over 50 years ago, serves a diverse range of clients including Commercial, Hospitality, Hospitals, Education, Colleges, Government, and Industrial sectors, offering services in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, BAS, TAB and Commissioning, Energy Savings, and equipment repair.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Controls Technician or similar position
  • Well versed in troubleshooting controls BAS systems
  • Knowledge of controls programming and experience rewriting sequences
  • Fundamental understanding of installing and testing building automation systems
  • Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point to point check outs
