About The Position

The Controls Technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS). This role involves working closely with controls installations, start-up, and termination of equipment and programs. The technician will also communicate with building owners, end-users, and general contractors, and collaborate within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Controls Technician or similar position
  • Well versed in troubleshooting controls BAS systems
  • Knowledge of controls programming and experience rewriting sequences
  • Hands-on experience with wire pulling and bending conduit
  • Knowledge and experience with programming
  • Fundamental understanding of installing and testing building automation systems
  • Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point-to-point checkouts
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mechanical services, building automation, test & balance, and electrical work

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot controls BAS systems
  • Program and rewrite sequences for controls systems
