About The Position

This is a full-time position for an HVAC Controls Technician in Richmond, VA, working for a large HVAC Manufacturer's Representative with a Controls Division. The company has been in business for over 30 years and serves clients in Colleges/Universities, Healthcare, Commercial Buildings, Educational Facilities, and Private Offices, with a mix of Retrofit, Service, Design-build/New Construction projects. The role involves Building Automation, HVAC Services, Security, and Energy Services.

Requirements

Prior experience as a HVAC/Controls Technician or similar position.
Well versed in installations, troubleshooting, repairing HVAC control systems and equipment.
Responsible for startup, commissioning, and servicing of air conditioning equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC VRF system service and service installations.
Extensive knowledge in chiller plants, boilers, air handlers, VAV’s and rooftop units.
Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point to point check outs.
Work closely with controls installations and start up/termination of equipment and programs.
Perform any preventative maintenance, replacements, or modifications as needed.
Communicate efficiently with building owners as well as owner.

Responsibilities
