AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly. This role supports AWS data centers and all associated equipment, focusing on innovation and solving complex challenges. The position involves joining a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Collaboration across AWS is key to maintaining high standards of safety and security while delivering infinite capacity at the lowest cost. As a member of the Global Controls Team, you will work with experienced professionals in the data center industry to maintain and optimize critical infrastructure systems. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintaining the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS), as well as developing new processes and standards to drive innovation in controls. AWS data centers use advanced industrial control systems for automated operation of mechanical equipment to maintain optimal environmental conditions. These systems integrate and monitor critical components like generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, transfer switches, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, CRAHs, and economizers. The BMS controls mechanical systems, and the EPMS monitors electrical systems.
