About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Controls Team Lead, Capacity Delivery to engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized in months, not years. This role will own technical execution across every build, including drawings, field questions, and engineering calls to keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving. The team engineers data centers that are built in months, not years, where rework is not an option and problems must be caught on paper. The goal is to design it once and build it a hundred times, with each site's lessons rolling into the reference design to accelerate future builds. This role is critical in building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

Requirements

  • Led controls engineering for mission critical or industrial facilities.
  • Written or owned sequences of operations for complex plants.
  • Standardized controls across multiple sites and ensured integrator compliance.
  • Understands common controls project failure points such as points lists, graphics, and alarm floods, and can prevent them.

Nice To Haves

  • Niagara or Ignition experience.
  • EPMS platforms experience.
  • Controls cybersecurity experience.
  • Commissioning automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own controls engineering across the portfolio, including BMS, EPMS, and the integration layer between them.
  • Set the controls reference design, architecture, points standards, and sequences, ensuring one standard across every site.
  • Drive controls contractors and integrators to adhere to the established standard, reviewing programming before commissioning.
  • Own the controls interface to commissioning automation to accelerate Level 4 and 5 testing at each site.
