Requirements

  • Currently working toward a degree or certification in electrical engineering technology, HVAC, automation, controls, or a related field.
  • Interest in building automation, controls programming, and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work in field environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, or control theory (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to interpret construction plans, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Assist with receiving materials, tracking quantities received vs. ordered, update the project manager on status, and keep the project assigned shelves organized
  • Assist with installing sensors, controllers, wiring, and low-voltage devices for HVAC and building automation systems.
  • Support technicians in configuring and programming control systems based on project requirements.
  • Help perform system start-up, commissioning tasks, and functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot basic control issues, wiring problems, and communication faults with supervision.
  • Document work performed, update system drawings, and record field observations.
  • Support field teams in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Observe and assist with customer interactions and jobsite coordination.
