About The Position

Job Summary: Responsible for operations in and maintenance of the controls prototyping lab. This includes operation of various electronics production equipment and processes, lab inventory management, prototype rework and other functions that may arise within the prototyping lab. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operation of various equipment involved in PCB production. Includes utilizing various applications such as Excel and Altium (for PCB review). Manual construction of prototypes boards where automated equipment cannot process. Lab inventory management, including pulling, counting and issuing parts. Hand soldering and rework of prototype boards. Visual inspection. Electronic/electrical testing with a digital voltmeter. Report generation using Word. Reads and reviews electrical diagrams. Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Ability to evaluate and debug electronics to determine cause of failures. Can run electronic testing equipment and report on UUT performance. Education and Experience Requirements: Associate's degree (A.A./ A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in electrical/electronic field or will consider experience in electronic PCB production environment. 5+ Years of experience preferred in electronics, electronic manufacturing or a related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong understanding of AAON Computer programs. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Experienced in using Digital Voltmeter to measure current, voltage, ohms and polarities. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Knowledge with automated SMD Pick and Place equipment is a plus. Ability to visual 3D operations to understand movement conflicts and component placement procedures in the pick and place operation. Ability to utilize spreadsheet software to adjust and optimize component placement operations. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong skills in soldering and de-soldering equipment operations. Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities. Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. Performs effectively in a team environment. Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Work Environment: Must be able to work with extremely small SMD components. Lift up to 40lbs. Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. Tolerant of non-toxic chemical fume exposure (smells put off during solder and reflow operations). Requirements
