Troubleshoot and maintain controls components and systems for production and associated utility equipment to ensure the highest reliability, proper line performance, and safe operation. This role involves working with operations, process engineering, and maintenance teams to modify control systems, including program modifications and wiring changes. The technician will also work with equipment suppliers, perform upgrades on obsolete control components, and diagnose chronic control system issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. The position requires the ability to use diagnostic tools such as laptop computers, electrical schematics, meters, and oscilloscopes. Additionally, the technician will share knowledge with team members, assist with training, and maintain a clean work area. Off-hour support is required on a recurring basis, and communication with the parts department for adequate spares is essential. The role may also involve operating production equipment with assistance and performing other duties as directed.
