About The Position

The Renewables/Ethanol Production Worker role supports key areas of ethanol production, including cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS operations, while assisting with corn grinding, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler processes. Responsibilities include monitoring Renewables production processes, adjusting equipment or inputs as directed, and performing product sampling, lab testing, and documentation. The position also involves maintaining accurate production records, operating mobile equipment, and completing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and cleaning to support safe and efficient operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on, safety-focused individual who enjoys working in a production environment, monitoring processes, operating equipment, and contributing to the efficient production of renewable fuels through teamwork, attention to detail, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
  • Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
  • Works with close supervision
  • Basic computer operation and data entry skills
  • Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred
  • Previous production experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform processing functions in the cook, distillation, energy center and/or distributed control system (DCS) areas of ethanol production with assistance
  • Perform activities relating to processing functions such as corn grinding and cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, yeast, distillation, evaporation, dryer and boiler operations
  • Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw materials inputs as directed to ensure the optimal efficiency in the production process
  • Perform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel
  • Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed
  • Operate various types of mobile equipment
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks
