About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join their Building & Construction team in York, PA. The Controls Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing and programming control systems for testing equipment and troubleshooting existing equipment to support Intertek's B&C test laboratories. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong working knowledge of control devices and signals
  • Working knowledge of software development, PLC programming, and network services
  • Strong analytical ability and communication skills
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field preferred
  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Computer Science coursework/experience
  • Project Management skills/experience
  • 2-4 Years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and program control systems for testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot existing equipment to support all Intertek B&C test laboratories.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to identify system components and develop design and functional specifications for automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and process issues.
  • Assist in the design process for new equipment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate completed equipment.
  • Work with other team members throughout the design and fabrication process.
  • Assist in installation of wiring and control devices as required.
  • Assist with maintenance of all company equipment as needed.
  • Create detailed equipment specifications/documents to guide development/programming/use.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Follow and enforce all safety requirements and company policies.
