BAS - Controls Programmer
About The Position
The Controls Specialist will be responsible for programming custom applications from scratch or using prepackaged libraries, managing programs from start to finish, and ensuring they meet all requirements. This role involves startups and commissioning on BAS Systems, creating controls databases, and troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on systems. A strong understanding of HVAC systems and their integration within controls is essential, as is familiarity with BAS communication protocols, specifically BACnet. The position also requires understanding graphical programs such as Tridium front ends.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Controls Specialist/Programmer or similar position
- Familiar with BAS communication protocols, specifically BACnet
- Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
- Understanding of graphical programs such as Tridium front ends
- Acute knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration within controls
