About The Position

Smart Building Technologies is seeking an early-career Controls Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and service of building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, electrical troubleshooting, BAS, or a related technical field. This role involves providing expert service to existing EMS/BAS systems, conducting proactive preventive maintenance, and partnering with the service team to resolve issues. The technician will also hone programming skills to become self-sufficient.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service to existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform service installation projects, including sensor and relay upgrades, programming tweaks, and controller replacements.
• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance visits to safeguard systems.
• Partner with the service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues.
• Develop programming skills to become a self-sufficient service technician capable of handling challenges without remote support.
