About The Position

This is for a stable, reputable, and large HVAC Mechanical company that has a leading Building Automation division with multiple BAS product-lines. The branch operates in the Bay Area: San Jose to Napa and far east as Tracy. The role involves a mix of Project Sales and Service Sales, including retrofit work, pneumatic upgrades, parts, and maintenance agreements. The position requires developing business from existing accounts and ultimately developing new business and account managing. The role involves visiting customers about 3-4 days a week, with 1-2 days working from either the office or home for office-related sales operations or account prospecting. The ability to estimate most owner-direct jobs is necessary, though a Controls Estimator is available for large, complex jobs. The Controls Sales Team in the Bay Area branch works as a team and individually, often splitting work. It is a tight-knit, diverse team with 4 Controls Sales Team Members.

Requirements

Controls Sales Engineer/Account Manager experience
Experience in the HVAC Mechanical & Controls industry
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Ability to estimate jobs
Valid driver's license and ability to drive for work

Nice To Haves

Experience with multiple BAS product-lines
Experience in the Bay Area market (San Jose to Napa and far east as Tracy)

Responsibilities

Mix of Project Sales and Service Sales: Retrofit Work, Pneumatic Upgrades, Parts, Maintenance Agreements, etc.
Develop business from existing accounts (receive a handful of accounts to start)
Ultimately, develop new business and account manage
Visit customers about 3-4 days a week.
1-2 days work from either the office or from home when doing office-related sales operations or account prospecting
Ability to estimate most owner-direct jobs.
