Under general supervision from the Project Executive, this position manages the on and off-site execution of daily project requirements and activities, responding flexibly to customer demands. Utilizing sound project management principles, this role manages day-to-day project activities and is responsible for the financial results of assigned projects. Key objectives include maintaining high customer satisfaction while balancing project demands and financial goals. The Project Manager is expected to use independent judgment and discretion, show a high level of commitment, and coordinate staff from all departments as needed. They manage and supervise employees assigned to the project and serve as the single point of responsibility to the Company and the customer. This role involves varying work in different locations, with teams formed and reformed to meet special project requirements. Responsibilities include performing all functions to promote and finalize sales, supervising the Company’s activity from sales inception to job completion, providing leadership and coordination of departmental efforts (Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, Service), preparing budget projections, controlling costs, preparing business and legal documentation, recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, and gaining acceptance of installations with reasonable profits. Maintaining professional relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry professionals is crucial. The role also involves attending meetings, contributing to special studies, developing product knowledge, managing and mentoring Jr. Project Engineers, supporting multiple ongoing projects, developing and updating project implementation plans, managing project documentation, handling change-order management and upselling, supporting the engineering design process, overseeing project construction for compliance, managing material procurement, developing and maintaining project construction schedules using MS Project, managing 3rd party commissioning, planning and monitoring system checkout, ensuring job completion documentation, assigning technical resources for problem resolution, proactively evaluating potential problems, reviewing customer systems for improvement opportunities, providing estimates for additional work, coordinating service personnel visits, ensuring owner/operator training, and providing project closeout documentation. The role requires developing and maintaining relationships with customers, contractors, and subcontractors, attending job progress meetings, providing instructions to installers, and interfacing with them. A basic understanding of the Company's control products and user interfaces is necessary, or the ability to acquire these skills through self-directed training. Practicing safe work habits and adhering to all safety standards is mandatory, including completing OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training.
