About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Controls Specialist/Programmer to join our team in Portland, ME. This role involves programming custom applications, leading project implementations, and ensuring the successful startup and commissioning of BAS Systems. You will work closely with field technicians and Project Managers, manage programs from start to finish, and troubleshoot any system issues. A strong understanding of HVAC systems and BAS communication protocols, particularly BACnet, is essential. Experience with graphical programs like Tridium front ends is also required.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Controls Specialist/Programmer or similar position
• Familiar with BAS communication protocols, specifically BACnet
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of graphical programs such as Tridium front ends
• Acute knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration within controls

Responsibilities

• Program custom applications from scratch or prepackaged libraries
• Responsible for startups and commissioning on BAS Systems
• Communicate effectively with technicians and PMs in the field
• Create controls databases from scratch
• Lead project implementations
• Manage programs from start to finish and ensure they cover all requirements
• Troubleshoot any issues within systems
