About The Position

The Controls System Monitoring Technician Owns complex diagnostics, system behavior analysis, and sequence validation across monitoring and service activities. Ensures systems operate as intended in both logic and physical response. This role involves analyzing and modifying control logic and sequences, leading complex troubleshooting efforts requiring field validation, and supporting commissioning, re-commissioning, and system tuning activities. The technician will coordinate on-site with mechanical, electrical, and IT teams, develop internal troubleshooting standards and technical documentation, and design and refine UI and UX elements to improve operator clarity and response effectiveness. Complex coding and programming are also key aspects of this role, along with regular on-site presence for commissioning, advanced troubleshooting, and system validation. The authorized individual will implement non-capital system changes that impact performance, stability, and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge built environment, low voltage systems, MEP, and IAQ
  • Expert programming in various languages and block logic.
  • Expert knowledge of HVAC
  • Expert in a product line
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Servicing and programming (Not configuration) controllers for central plants, stand alone units, and buildings utilizing advanced line code.
  • Required HVAC experience.
  • Required Building Automation experience
  • Required data analysis experience
  • Required presentation and training experience
  • Required diagnostic troubleshooting experience and Root Cause Analysis
