About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to designing, building, and operating data centers. The Controls Lead, BMS will be responsible for the building controls layer of the reference design across the fleet, owning controls standards, driving vendor strategy, and growing the team while handling complex sequences.

Requirements

  • Led BMS or controls engineering for data centers or large plants.
  • Written sequences of operations that operators trust.
  • Standardized controls across a portfolio.
  • Held integrators to points lists and functional tests.
  • Designed for data, with telemetry and analytics as first-class outputs.

Nice To Haves

  • Tridium, ALC, or Siemens expertise.
  • Experience with BACnet at scale.
  • Chilled water plant optimization.
  • Commissioning interface experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BMS controls engineering for the building controls layer of the reference design across the fleet.
  • Own the controls standards, including sequences, points lists, and network architecture for universal deployment.
  • Drive vendor strategy, ensuring platforms, integrators, and programming standards meet specifications.
  • Grow the team and manage critical sequences such as plant optimization, failover, and demand response hooks.
