Controls Engineer, BMS

FluidstackAustin, TX
$203,000 - $232,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, focusing on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to designing, building, and operating data centers. The company values extreme ownership, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the problem space. This role is for someone who wants to be part of a fast-paced, high-intensity team pushing the frontier of AI infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Programmed BMS platforms hands-on for data centers or large facilities.
  • Write sequences from scratch and improve the ones you inherit.
  • Integrated equipment over BACnet, Modbus, and vendor protocols.
  • Commission your own work and fix what testing finds.
  • Version and document logic so the next engineer can own it.

Nice To Haves

  • Tridium, ALC, or Siemens certification.
  • Chilled water and liquid cooling sequences.
  • EPMS integration.
  • Graphics standards.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer BMS controls in the reference design: sequences, points lists, and graphics for mechanical and electrical plant.
  • Program and configure the platform: logic built, tested, and versioned like the software it is.
  • Integrate the systems: chillers, CDUs, power monitoring, and third-party equipment speaking one language.
  • Support commissioning: functional tests executed, failures diagnosed, and fixes fed back into the standard.

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency.
