Requirements

  • A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience pulling wire and running conduit is required.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software.
  • Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or future participation in an electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
  • Any previous experience installing HVAC Controls or electrical work is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Installation of building automation systems utilizing knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics (board level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • Use of hand tools and interpretation of control drawings, plans, and specifications to install temperature control systems including conduit, enclosures, wiring and end devices.
  • Preparation for on-site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, and coordinating with other trades as necessary.
  • Maintenance of assigned stock of inventory and company equipment.
  • Documentation of all related activities, including paperwork on each job, daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files.
  • Keeping current on Trane products concerning installation of direct digital control systems.
  • Displaying team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
