About The Position

Responsible for design, specification, selection, procurement, build, programming, installation, tryout, and support of plant floor automation control systems for new and existing equipment.

Requirements

  • Design, specification, selection, procurement, build, programming, installation, tryout, and support of plant floor automation control systems for new and existing equipment.
  • Understanding, support, and programming of complete PLC, HMI, network devices, and related hardware for new equipment installations.
  • Completion of design of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for new and retrofit equipment.
  • Understanding, support, and development of complete motor drive configuration for servo, variable frequency, and DC systems.
  • Understanding, implementation, and support of robotic programming.
  • Support of new program equipment launch activity as it relates to startup, debug, and achieving performance objectives.
  • Use of computer-based engineering software and equipment: (PLC and HMI programs, Motion Control programs, PC based programs, CAD-based programs).
  • Evaluation and application of new technology as required.
  • Directing activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications.
  • Troubleshooting systems, new and existing, as needed in support of the manufacturing facilities company-wide.
  • Support of new model launches and improvement teams.
  • Participation in cross-functional and program management team activities as required.
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Working on the plant floor as needed.
