About The Position

Responsible for design, specification, selection, procurement, build, programming, installation, tryout, and support of plant floor automation control systems for new and existing equipment.

Requirements

Design, specification, selection, procurement, build, programming, installation, tryout, and support of plant floor automation control systems for new and existing equipment.
Understanding, support, and programming of complete PLC, HMI, network devices, and related hardware for new equipment installations.
Completion of design of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for new and retrofit equipment.
Understanding, support, and development of complete motor drive configuration for servo, variable frequency, and DC systems.
Understanding, implementation, and support of robotic programming.
Support of new program equipment launch activity as it relates to startup, debug, and achieving performance objectives.
Use of computer-based engineering software and equipment: (PLC and HMI programs, Motion Control programs, PC based programs, CAD-based programs).
Evaluation and application of new technology as required.
Directing activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications.
Troubleshooting systems, new and existing, as needed in support of the manufacturing facilities company-wide.
Support of new model launches and improvement teams.
Participation in cross-functional and program management team activities as required.
Participation in continuous improvement activities.
Working on the plant floor as needed.
