About The Position

This role involves developing control concepts and setting the control direction for complex projects. The engineer will design cost-effective control systems for custom machinery, encompassing hardware design, programming, safety analysis, and technical documentation. Responsibilities include analyzing technical challenges, devising creative solutions, guiding shop personnel during electrical assembly, leading control system debugging, providing on-site installation and customer training, and estimating control system costs for quotations. Collaboration with the Applications Engineering team to evaluate project feasibility is also key. The role requires working proactively and independently, motivating self and others, delegating tasks, and effectively communicating project status, potential obstacles, and customer/vendor interactions. Additionally, the engineer will identify and implement process improvements, stay current with automation industry technology, and facilitate professional development for themselves and colleagues.
