About The Position

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is seeking Technician II candidates to support our field service engineering team with Active Protection System (APS). The selected candidates will provide hands-on technical expertise, supporting the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of APS kits on various military vehicles and platforms. Individuals in this role will interact with U.S. military personnel, foreign supplier partners, vehicle prime contractors, and other stakeholders while operating at customer sites. Travel may include OCONUS trips. Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required.

Requirements

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Supports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems and devices.
Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes.
Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments.
Documents testing procedures, and measures and records performance results following established methods.
Maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance.
Conduct diagnostic testing, identify system faults, and provide appropriate remedial actions in the field.
Installs and calibrate various production system platforms to ensure proper functioning.
Engage directly with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in projects.
