About The Position

The Sr. Mgr. Project Engineering manages all aspects of projects to ensure safety and security while protecting the asset for investors and owners. This role manages and coordinates all activities of the engineering department for controls, cost, software and electrical engineering.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years progressive engineering experience required
3+ years in a direct leadership role
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
Excellent analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, & planning skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple concurrent engineering projects, delegating authority and responsibility to subordinates as appropriate.
Allocate engineering resources to successfully accomplish company objectives and priorities and identify needs for successful completion of projects.
Perform administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals, expenditures, and policy enforcement.
Day-to-day interaction and management of engineering team and manage recruiting, hiring, training.
Establish and approve documentation and processes.
Manage engineering team effectively to project timelines and budgets and ensure product/project best industry practices.
Provide insight on strategic technical focus to executive team.
Establish documentation and processes to improve efficiency and reliability of engineering workflow.
Ownership of the technical content generated by the engineering department and critical input to effectively solve engineering problems.
Approve design documentation including project design basis, specifications, drawings, and calculations.
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
