We currently have an opportunity for a Controls Electrician at our manufacturing facility in Red Bluff, CA. The Controls Electrician utilizes analytical skills to examine and improve processes in order to improve productivity. This role leads integration projects and works on automation equipment for optimal efficiencies. Responsibilities include the coordination of technical automated manufacturing related activities that support the Company’s strategic goals and objectives, including such activities as: automation fixture repair and maintenance, training, coaching, and implementing safety features and safety training for automation fixtures. The Controls Electrician works closely with other departments and external parties to create and implement processes to increase the plant’s overall efficiency. Ultimately, this role plays a vital part in the production process, ensuring the best products in the industry. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Electrical certification.
  • 3 years of progressive and related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize analytical skills to examine and improve processes in order to improve productivity.
  • Lead integration projects.
  • Work on automation equipment for optimal efficiencies.
  • Coordinate technical automated manufacturing related activities that support the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Perform automation fixture repair and maintenance.
  • Provide training and coaching for automation fixtures.
  • Implement safety features and safety training for automation fixtures.
  • Work closely with other departments and external parties to create and implement processes to increase the plant’s overall efficiency.
  • Work with PLC-based control systems for an automated packaging line.
  • Manage revision control process for PLC programs.
  • Generate electrical drawing packages.
  • Perform control circuit, wiring, troubleshooting, and construction.
  • Configure software to enable IIoT data collection.
  • Develop simple dashboard and display using data historian software.
  • Troubleshoot High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase and 500 volts D-C.
  • Troubleshoot Low-Voltage control circuits.
  • Operate test equipment including Digital multi-meters and Amp meters.
  • Read schematics and identify basic electrical symbols, including ability to interpret specifications.
  • Apply electrical theory including basic OHMs law applications.
