About The Position

Controller role in a PE-backed youth sports roll-up, owning all accounting operations and partnering directly with the executive leadership team to establish a scalable platform finance function. This role offers the opportunity to own platform F&A maturity, lead all finance & accounting operations across a high-growth youth sports platform, and gain high-volume acquisition exposure by playing a critical role in integrating 30-40 clubs and scaling to $100M over the next 5 years. The Controller will report to the CEO and partner closely with all of the C-suite.

Requirements

• Established Accounting Ops Leader: Hands-on managing month-end close and financial reporting across multiple entities, leading cash-to-accrual transitions, deferred revenue and scaling accounting F&A functions platform-wide.
• Strong Process Builder & Self-Starter: Comfortable operating with ambiguity, establishing controls, and driving process maturity across all clubs.
• FP&A Practitioner: Leads cash forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning to build forward-looking platform visibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee club-level accounting operations: Lead and manage site-level bookkeepers, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and smooth month-end close processes across all clubs.
• Consolidated financial reporting: Deliver financial reporting at the club and platform levels, providing clear insights to the CEO and leadership team.
• FP&A leadership for the platform: Own platform budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Acquisition integration support: Collaborate with third-party providers to support smooth integrations, focusing on cash-to-accrual transitions and opening balance sheet setups.
• Establish controls and processes: Build scalable internal controls across clubs to enhance financial integrity and operational efficiency.
