About The Position

Cosmetics manufacturing company located in Carson is seeking a Controller to manage the day to day accounting functions of the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding at a fast pace. We need an organized, self-motivated person with strong communication skills and a great attitude, who desires to work with a strong management team.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong GAAP accounting knowledge
• Must be very detail oriented, with good follow through skills, and the ability to work independently
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast pace working environment under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing background preferred but not essential
• Quickbooks and ERP (manufacturing) systems experience desired but not essential

Responsibilities

• Control of all accounting functions including general accounting, payroll reporting, banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review budgets, financial planning, financial systems, and various other financial operating reports.
• Manage preparation of all year-end financial statements, tax lead schedules and supporting documentation for outside CPA firm to prepare annual income tax returns.
• Supervise 1 Sr Staff Accountant and 1 Accounts Payable Clerk and interact closely with other departments.
