Controller

Jewett CameronNorth Plains, OR

About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for a growing distribution-focused organization. This role owns the close process, technical accounting, inventory and margin integrity, payroll oversight, and budgeting for the finance function, while partnering cross‑functionally to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financials. With more than 70 years of operating history, Jewett Cameron is a publicly traded company with established brands across fencing, pet, outdoor, and select lumber products. The company is at a stage where execution discipline, margin integrity, and financial transparency matter more than adding process for its own sake. This Controller role is a core leadership position with direct influence over profitability, cash flow, and decision‑quality. The Controller will strengthen the financial foundation of the business—owning close, controls, inventory and payroll integrity, and budgeting—while partnering closely with operations and leadership to support sustainable growth and improved margins.
