About The Position

Responsible for accurate accounting, recording, and reporting of revenue; perform the essential functions of controller; supervise the accounting staff; and perform all duties in accordance with Casino policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years’ casino accounting experience showing progressive growth.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 10-key and accounting software required.
  • Basic math, computer and communication skills required.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to converse over the telephone in a clear and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend and reach.
  • Must have the manual dexterity required to write and operate computer.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • When on the casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor and coach accounting personnel.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely filing of all regulatory compliance forms, reports, taxes and licenses.
  • Perform functions of assistant controller when necessary.
  • Perform the functions of the accounting clerk when necessary.
  • Perform the functions of the AP clerk when necessary.
  • Investigate and report any discrepancies noted in any areas.
  • Assist in the soft count process as required.
  • Oversee company purchasing procedures.
  • Maintain daily cash requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Casino operation data.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and company policies.
  • Maintain a consistent, prompt and regular attendance record.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively operate computers and machines used in the office environment.
  • Effectively performs the functions of reviewing, sorting, filing and accurate completion of all paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
